Stress Counselling

x

Stress can be an inevitable part of daily life, good stress can spur us on to complete tasks but bad stress can make us feel physically and emotionally drained.

Stress can make you worry and feel on edge with particular triggers and situations increasing its intensity.

Challenging situations at work or at home, and the expectations put on us to complete tasks or deadlines can impact us negatively making us feel overwhelmed, tearful and unable to cope.

We can work together to look at what your stress triggers are and to examine whether you can avoid these or manage them in such a way to reduce the impact on you.

We can explore ways in which you can alter or adapt your schedule and commitments to provide you with a less stressful agenda.

We can explore your ways of thinking and whether things are as important as they appear to be and what can be prioritised or omitted, or ultimately accepted for what they are and consider how much energy and time needs to be used on them.

We can discuss what you like to do in your spare time and what your support system looks like in order to incorporate some time for these into your schedule, to enable you to experience a more balanced life.
